Biking

Biking

For the passive and leisure cyclist we have a limited number of Bicycles available to you free of charge. There is a network of surfaced tracks in the Muckross,  Knockreer  and Ross Island areas of the National Park which are safe and ideal for both Cyclists and Walkers.

However if you are looking for adventure, excitement or a challenge for the intermediate to experienced Mountain rider , then look no further than Killarney.  The route, sometimes on private farmland takes you over glacial passes, alongside beautiful Lakes , through river valleys , pine forests and rugged mountain , highlighting the incredible diversity and beauty of Killarney’s Lake District and the rugged Kerry landscape.

For the more serious cyclist who prefers to cycle 60-80 km per day , where  the riding is varied from flat out and undulating to lung wrenching leg burning climbs followed by fast down hills we are proud to show you what makes this Country one of the World’s most cycling destinations.

Either of the above may be just for a few hours or a full day biking. They are Guided under the expert tuition and guidance of International cyclist and cycling coach, John “The King”  Crowley, a thoroughly knowledgeable and passionate local Killarney man  who has 25 years racing experience and  who knows just about every inch of terrain in Kerry.

Enquiries can be made directly to John on 087 6243987 or crowlyne@eircom.net
